The Art of Cultivating your Inner Peace and Calmness
November 6, 2024Language is the backbone of communication and the foundation of all relationships. Angels speak their language just as humans do in theirs. The Bible first records the language of Angels in Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth. He taught about the significance of love and that even if he spoke the language of both men and Angels, he is nothing without love.
Now you know that Angels speak their unique language, different from men. They live in Heaven with God, the Saints, the twenty-four elders, and the four living creatures whom John speaks of in the book of Revelation. The language of Angels is the native language of everyone who lives in Heaven. When saints enter heaven, they adopt this new language and stop using their earthly languages. The only time Angels use the languages of men is when they are sent to deliver God’s message to His people. They do this so that people may understand their message. However, it takes a lot of wisdom to understand it without the revelation of the Holy Spirit. Back in Heaven, Angels worship God and sing for Him in the Heavenly language. They continuously worship Him day and night.
As your relationship with God grows, He lets you worship Him in the Angelic language. This is the reason God has given His people the gift of speaking in tongues – that they may worship and pray to Him with their spirit as the Angels and the twenty-four elders do in heaven. Paul teaches that speaking in tongues is speaking to God, not men. It is taught by God Himself through the Holy Spirit. As you speak the language of Angels, your mind is unfruitful but your spirit is deeply immersed in the spiritual realm. You unlock deeper levels of worshipping God unlike when you use the language of men.
Biblical examples of learning to use the language of Angels.

Moses and Elijah during the transfiguration of Jesus.
Jesus was with Peter, John, and James when the transfiguration happened. Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus in shining glory and they were talking about what will happen in Jerusalem. These two prophets are already in Heaven as the scriptures confirmed – Elijah was taken up by a whirlwind to Heaven and Moses died on Mount Nebo, his grave never to be found. They no longer speak the language of men but that of Angels and have come to speak with the Son of God in their native Heavenly language. Even when Peter, James, and John saw them, they did not understand what they were saying because they knew nothing about the language of Angels.

In their confusion, Peter asked Jesus that they build three shelters; one for each one of them. However, the Bible affirms that Peter did not know what he was saying. God wanted to teach the disciples the language that Jesus and the prophets were speaking. A cloud covered all of them and God confirmed that Jesus is His son, and the disciples should listen to Him. This is a lesson to all Christians – listen to the son of God if you want to learn the language of Angels. Jesus was the key to the disciples knowing the conversation that He was having with Moses and Elijah.
Jesus will teach you about the mysteries of the Kingdom hidden in the language of Angels because He is not of this world. He is God’s gift of salvation to us.

Jacob wrestling with the Angel of the Lord
As Jacob was preparing to meet Esau, the Angels of God met him. At the same time, Jacob was distressed over how he would handle meeting his brother for the first time in a very long time since their separation. That night, he fought with a man till daybreak. What was the reason? Language barrier. Jacob must have probably thought that the man was an intruder at a time when he was preparing to make peace with his brother. Had Jacob spoken the language of Angels, he would have known that the man was an Angel and they would not have fought.
How many battles have you unknowingly fought with an Angel of the Lord because you could not speak the language of Angels? This increased your sorrows at a time when your spirit was anxious (as was Jacob about meeting Esau). The Angel who wrestled with Jacob touched the socket of his hip and asked Jacob to let him go because it was daybreak. This caused Jacob physical pain. What followed is how they could now speak one language and Jacob demanded to be blessed and the Angel blessed him. His name would be Israel because he has fought with God and men and he has prevailed.
Sometimes you experience pain in your life because you do not speak the language of Angels to distinguish friends from enemies and avoid unnecessary fights as happened with Jacob. This is a lesson to all Christians – listen to pain if you want to hear the language of Angels. Pain drew Jacob’s attention to understand who was fighting with him the whole night. Similarly, it could be God’s way of talking to you about the struggles you have had for a long time. Understanding the language of Angels will guarantee you peace all around. Jacob eventually enjoyed it after the Angel of the Lord blessed him.

Daniel during his captivity in Babylon.
Daniel, together with other Jews, was taken captive in Babylon. While there, he devoted his life to serving God and praying for the redemption of his people. One day, the Angel of the Lord appeared to Him and said He had a message for Daniel.
Daniel heard and understood the Angel’s message because the Lord allowed him to. The Angel revealed that He had been sent to Daniel because he had set his heart to understand and had humbled himself before God. Daniel’s healthy spiritual life was critical in his understanding of the language of Angels. Even when the Prince of Persia had withheld the first Angel from delivering the message of the Lord, He was helped by Angel Michael to break free. This highlights the importance of the message that the first Angel had for Daniel. This is a lesson to Christians – praying consistently and persistently is the key to learning the language of Angels.
It is possible to learn the language of Angels. It is one of the greatest achievements in your spiritual life. Moses, Elijah, Jacob, and Daniel managed to learn it. So can you.
