The Art of Money Seduction
October 10, 2022What is your purpose?
Think of your purpose as the engine of your life—your core, your driving force. Just like a car without an engine is just a shiny shell, life without purpose is… well, it just doesn’t move in the right direction.
Now, we all know what happens if you don’t service that engine. Over time, it’ll wear down, get rusty, and eventually break down, probably at the worst possible moment—right when you need it most.
Our purpose is the same. It needs attention, a little tune-up here and there, and regular “maintenance” to keep us moving forward. Without it, we lose our way. So, if you feel like life’s stalled, maybe it’s time to get back under the hood and bring that purpose back to life. There’s no shortcut here—just a bit of TLC to get things humming again.
Reconnection.
Reconnecting means there was once a spark, a connection that somehow got lost along the way. So, reconnecting with your purpose is about finding that spark again, rediscovering what lights you up.
But here’s the thing—your purpose might not be waiting for you right where you last left it. It could have shifted, grown, or even transformed a bit. Reconnecting takes a little extra effort, but the journey is worth it.

Follow these steps, and you’ll find yourself inching closer to it again, one moment at a time.
Finding Back Your Spark.
Think of reconnecting with your purpose as something urgent—as if your life depends on it, because in many ways, it does. Living without direction is like stumbling around in a dark room; it’s no way to live.
What’s the first thing you do when you walk into a dark room? You flip on the light. You don’t settle into the darkness; you reach for that switch to fill the room with light. Knowing where the switch is makes it easy, but if you’re not sure, it takes a little searching.
That switch is your purpose. It’s what will bring light back into your life, one click at a time. Here’s how to start finding it again:
-
Find the right motivation.
Sometimes, the push to rediscover your purpose comes from life’s tougher, all-too-familiar moments. Maybe it’s that sense of frustration when you’re working long hours, feeling like you’re going through the motions but still missing something important. Or perhaps it’s the sting of a project that didn’t go as planned, a deadline you couldn’t meet, or the pressure of those bills that never seem to pause.
These real-life struggles can feel like a nudge—sometimes a shove—reminding us that something’s missing. Motivation often hides in these uncomfortable moments, urging us to take action.
Finding your purpose again is like flipping the light switch back on. It brings focus, direction, and the energy to keep moving forward.

-
Find the right company.
The people around you can either pull you into the dark or light the way forward. That’s why choosing your friends is so important—having the right company can make all the difference.
Think about it: how often have you seen someone lose their way, stuck in the wrong crowd? Like two people stumbling in the dark, it rarely ends well. But when you surround yourself with people who are purposeful and motivated, their energy naturally rubs off on you.
Connecting with friends who live with intention can bring out your own sense of purpose. Their habits and mindsets start to influence yours, and before you know it, their light starts to brighten your path, too. Iron truly does sharpen iron, and sometimes, finding your purpose means looking around at those beside you.
-
Good attitude.
Having a positive attitude is like getting halfway there. If you’re searching for your purpose, don’t do it half-heartedly—commit with your whole heart and mind.
Believe that even if you’ve lost your way before, you can find it again. It’s often darkest before dawn, and sometimes your breakthrough comes just as you’re about to give up. That kind of optimism has a way of drawing good things your way, almost as if the universe responds to your hope and effort.
No one can force you to do what’s best for yourself. When you truly want it, you’ll put in the work, and you’ll give it everything you’ve got.
-
Consistency.
Consistency is where most of us struggle. Starting something new can feel exciting, but sticking with it? That’s the hard part. And reconnecting with your purpose is no different—it’s easy to lose momentum because it’s something you once had but drifted away from.
Don’t let the search wear you down. Keep reaching for that switch that’ll light up your path again. You’re not meant to stay in the dark forever; if you keep going, you’ll eventually find what you’re looking for.
Just imagine giving up when you’re on the edge of a breakthrough. Missing out like that? It’s a regret you don’t want. So stay the course—you’re closer than you think.
-
Diversification.
Sometimes, reconnecting with your purpose means trying new things that align with what you’re drawn to, even if they look a little different than before. Especially if you’ve felt the power of purpose before, exploring other avenues in the same direction can lead you back to that familiar feeling.
Your purpose might show up wearing a new “outfit,” so to speak—it might look a bit different this time around. But when you feel that same deep satisfaction, that’s when you know you’ve struck gold again.
The journey isn’t always smooth; challenges are part of the path. They’re not what matters most, though. It’s how you handle those bumps that makes all the difference.

Let go of your ego.
Think about being in that dark room again, searching for the switch. Pride can be a major stumbling block here. It gives a false sense of security—you might feel so familiar with the room that you relax, thinking you can find your way without turning on the light. But before long, you might find yourself frustrated, saying, “It was right here, but now I can’t find it.”
Reconnecting with your purpose deserves genuine focus and humility. Let go of any assumptions and approach the search with an open heart. Pay attention to each of the five factors we’ve covered, and you’ll find your way back to that switch, to the light you’ve been searching for.
I’m cheering for you.
