Your identity speaks of who you are. It is the personality traits, outward appearance, and character that make you unique from other people. You are either tall or short, chubby or skinny, patient or impatient, polite or impolite, an introvert or extrovert, among so many other qualities. There is no gray area in the elements of your identity. Everything is in black and white. While there are things that your environments influence about your identity, you are in charge of most of them. You have the power to modify, change, or develop new traits that other people will see and identify you differently.

Your spirit has an identity in the Universe just as you do in the physical world. It is how the Universe identifies your spirit in its whole population. You are special, talented, and unique in the Universe. It is up to you to fortify this identity through nature. This is where your true colors come out. Once you pass this test, your identity becomes a permanent part of your life.

It is beautiful and scary at the same time to know that your identity can change, for either the best or worse. The Universe wants to guide you to discover your identity and build the best version of it. The universal policy is to feed your goals and starve your fears. This will lead you to discover your true identity in the Universe.

The journey to discovering your identity in the Universe begins with honesty to the following questions.

1. Who am I?

This answers the self-identity question. It displeases the Universe when people are unaware of their self-identity. You begin by answering this question by highlighting what you think is unique in your life. It could be your age, gender, career, relationship, or title. Look at how nature’s creation answers this question. Even when there are many animals, it is the lion who is the King of all of them. He is a leader, fearless, and dominating. This answers a Lion’s question of “Who am I?”

The universe wants you to answer this question in the context of your contribution to nature. Whether you are a conservative, an encourager, a builder, or a service person, be proud of it because this solves the self-identity crisis.

1. Where am I?

It is part of the Universe’s plan to put everything where it is. It is not accidental or an afterthought but how it was originally intended to be. Kenya, France, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, or any other place of birth is the Universe’s chosen location for you. It forms part of your identity. Wherever you may travel to, your original location remains part of your identity.

In the Universe, your location remains part of your identity. It is where the Universe has chosen for you to be nurtured before your destiny leads you elsewhere. Embrace it open-mindedly as part of your identity. Further, appreciate its contribution to your life to become the desired future version of yourself.

1. What is my destiny?

Your destiny is the end game of your life. It is more of what you were meant to do for the rest of your life. People have different destinies and it is perfectly okay. Right from the family unit, two siblings can follow completely different paths. It is nature’s way of demonstrating its acceptance of having varied destinies. Nature’s strength lies in the different destinies of people. Each of us plays a special role in nourishing nature.

Your destiny in the Universe is what your heart is convicted to do. Everyone has their ordained path to follow from the time they were born. There is no limitation to accessing and fulfilling your destiny. The universe has designed it so that it will become part of your identity.

This is where your destiny lies:

• Building – creating something from nothing.
• Servicing – ensuring an already existing innovation runs smoothly.
• Designing – being the think tank for new ideas.

In light of this revelation, the Universe wants to discover your destiny, follow it, and make it part of your identity.

1. Who is on my team?

You are either for or against a cause. Nature has mechanisms in place to identify who is in its team. It then puts itself at the center of the lives of the people who are on its team. The choice of the team you are on is influenced by the destiny part of your identity. People with different destinies and pursuing them within nature makes it self-sustaining. However, those with similar destinies get along better.

The Universe wants you to know the people with whom you share destinies and make them part of your team. Those with different interests can sink your boat from within if you bring them on board and make them part of your team. Engage them cautiously. However, those on the same team with you will help you row your boat safely to the shores.

1. What must I do?

What you must do is mandatory. You must do it because there is no other way except to discharge your mandate. This is what you do for survival. Failing to do these activities could have dangerous consequences for you. Like the universe, you must embrace your destiny and live up to it daily. Consider how nature operates – the sun must rise daily and the wind to blow daily. This is so because it is nature’s destiny.

The Universe wants to know if you understand the duties you must execute in your life. It is important to do it because it is what you were called for. Your spirit must express love and live within its boundaries. This forms part of your identity in the Universe.
