These are the blessings of the Lord in your life that He spoke through Moses: 

1. You will be blessed in the city and the field. 
2. The fruit of your womb shall be blessed. 
3. Your basket and kitchen shall be blessed. 
4. You will be blessed in your coming in and in your going out. 
5. The Lord will cause your enemies to be defeated before you. 
6. The Lord will bless everything you put your hand to. 
7. The Lord will establish you. 
8. The Lord will give you abundant prosperity. 
9. The Lord will send rain on your land in season. 
10. The Lord will make you a winner and not a loser. 

You are valuable and a very important person in God’s vision. He does not want you to suffer any setbacks. He shares your joy in success and your pain in failure. His great love for you and your relationship with Him puts you closer to His heart. He is our Father and is generous with His love for us, even blessing us with both Earthly and Heavenly blessings. As His children, we are qualified to possess all the blessings He speaks over our lives. 

From the father to the son… 

It is traditional for the father to bless his children who will in turn pass these blessings to their children. The blessings are passed on from one generation to another which will maintain the spirit of generational wealth. The Lord has apportioned to us His blessings because we are His children. We are entitled to every blessing that He gives us that we may possess them from now henceforth.  

God blessed Abraham with divine blessings and riches. Abraham blessed Isaac by giving him all he had. Isaac blessed Jacob with fatherly blessings – wealth, leadership, and protection from his enemies. Jacob also blessed his children before his death when they were still in Egypt. The blessings of the Lord passed from one generation to another even to you too because you are His child in faith. 

The rights of the son. 

God chose us before creation to be blameless before Him and adopted us to be sons through Jesus Christ according to His will. He has blessed us in the Heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 

• An intimate relationship with the Father. 

We are no longer slaves but children in the house of our father. He has sent the spirit of His son into our hearts to call him father. It reflects the relationship of Jesus with Him. God is closer to us the way children are to their fathers. As Jesus prayed in Gethsemane before His arrest, He called upon the Father to remove the cup from Him. It was one of His low times, and He spoke to His Father about it. Jesus severally spoke fondly about His relationship with the Father.  

As a Christian and a child of God, you should have an intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father. You are His as He is yours. Cherish this relationship and work for ways to deepen it. It will open ways for you to possess all His blessings. 

• You become aware of your identity. 

A father gives his child an identity. The same is true with our spiritual life – God gives you identity. It identifies you with Him and qualifies you to receive all His blessings. In the modern world, documents have your identity information (for example your national identity card and travel passport). In Christianity, the Holy Spirit is our identity mark as children of God. He is the promised Helper that Jesus told His disciples about. They were not to leave Jerusalem until they received the Holy Spirit. It is a mark that they are children of God and worthy of His blessings. 

Do not be alarmed if you are yet to receive the Holy Spirit. The Bible answers your question on this matter. You should repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the Holy Spirit. It is the right step towards possessing the blessings of the Lord. 

• Freedom to speak about the Father. 

Jesus used His freedom to speak about the Father because He is His son. He said that He only speaks what the Father taught Him. His whole life was about the Father and how He is doing His will. God was proud of Him for speaking about Him publicly and in a positive light. Not once but twice, He publicly acknowledged that Jesus is His son. The first instance was during Jesus’ Baptism by John at River Jordan, and the second one was during the transfiguration. The freedom to speak about God puts you in the way to possess His blessings. It puts you in the limelight as Jesus was and people search for the blessings of the Lord in your life. In honor of His name and promise, God directs blessings your way and you become a living testimony. 

You possess the blessings of the Lord when you speak about Him and win souls for Christ. God will make you a role model for His blessings by starting to bless you so that others may see. 

Unblocking hindrances to accessing your blessings in the Lord. 

Your blessings could be delayed for one reason or another. God has given us a secret to overcome these hindrances and we can eventually possess our blessings. We should be careful to obey all the commandments of God for us to receive His blessings in return. These blessings follow the path of obedience and divert away from anyone who is not on its path. 

Obedience to the Lord is better than any sacrifice. It guides you to avoid spiritual accidents that may throw you away from God’s blessings. Observe how all the people whom Jesus healed obeyed His instructions and they received their miracle. Yours is also guaranteed if you obey the Lord and access His blessings.
