Fashion is a custom way of doing things acceptable in a particular environment within a definite period. It means that it differs from one place to another. What is fashionable in Australia can differ from what is fashionable in the United States or Europe. In some cases, fashion could be universal. A large population could adore a specific style of fashion and it becomes universally acceptable. However, a few people could be left out of the fashion grid. They could be stuck in the old fashion and it will take some time for them to align with the new one. Even when they do, the trend could have changed and they would still be left behind.

What is the Heavenly fashion?

The spiritual realm also has a sense of fashion. This is where fashion must have originally come from before the world adopted it. The only reason that spiritual fashion is not as famous as worldly fashion is that it is hidden from many people. They see it but fail to recognize it because their carnal life has overpowered their spiritual one. Over a long time, such a spirit loses the sense of fashion and the spirituality of such a person fades away.

God does not want us to follow this path. The Bible teaches that we should not align with the pattern of this world (or its fashion) but renew our minds to know the will of God. This is an insight into what spiritual and Heavenly fashion is – to know the will of God. The pattern of this world (which is also its fashion) is following your wishes. It is the opposite of Heavenly fashion.

Unlike worldly fashion, heavenly fashion is constant and always aligns with the will of God. If you want to be in fashion, follow the word of God and walk in His ways. You will always remain relevant because you follow the ways of the Chief fashion master.

These are some of the ways you can align your spirit with Heavenly fashion:

1. Listening to His Prophets.

The Prophets of God are His mouthpiece. During the reign of Kings in Israel, they always sought to hear from the Lord before making any major decision. They would enquire about the will of the Lord from the prophets so that they could have His blessings. Neither the size of the army nor the wisdom in their strategies was fashionable. It was what the Lord said that mattered.

The five spies from the tribe of Dan asked the young Levite living in Micah’s house to inquire from the Lord whether their journey would be successful. They were well organized and had an army of soldiers to attack the city of Laish. However, the spies first wanted to know the will of God. In other news, King Jehoshaphat also inquired from the Prophet of the Lord on whether or not He should go to war. At one point, he once asked King Ahab if there was no prophet of God from whom they could inquire if they could go to war. In both of these situations, those who sought to hear from the Lord were victorious because they followed the will of God.

It is wise to align your spirit with Heavenly fashion by enquiring from the Lord. You should always let His will over your life prevail. This guarantees you success in everything you do.

2. Giving offerings and sacrifices.

According to worldly mathematics, giving is losing. However, in Heavenly mathematics, giving is gaining more. According to the world, giving is not fashionable but it is fashionable in the spiritual realm. God wants you to align your spirit with the Heavenly fashion of giving.

Giving is fashionable because it is also an act of faith. Do you remember how Father Abraham was ready to give Isaac to God? This kind of preparedness is part of the Heavenly fashion. Do not withhold the best from God because it will make you a Heavenly fashion model. The Angel of the Lord is a witness to the giving nature of Cornelius, the centurion. He told Cornelius that his prayers and gifts to the poor had come up as a memorial before God. The centurion was aligned with Heavenly fashion and it attracted God.

The Lord wants you to embrace the spirit of giving because it identifies you as a people of God. Your attitude and adoption of giving is different from that of the world.

3. Accept the Lord’s leadership.

Leadership is ordained by God. Every leader, from the class prefect to the president of a nation is ordained by God to be in that position within a specific duration. Even oppressive rulers like King Saul or King Nebuchadnezzar were God’s choice as an instrument of punishment to the Israelites for their rebellion.

God wants you to accept His leadership over your life and pray for those in positions of authority. This is the Heavenly fashion. Rebellion is not the plan of God. The Bible teaches on this matter that we should obey our rulers because they watch over our souls and they must give an account of us to the Lord. Such obedience aligns with the Heavenly fashion. Failing to submit to the Lord’s leadership is what got Lucifer kicked out of Heaven. You should by no means follow this path.

Aligning your spirit with the Lord’s leadership also means being a patriotic citizen. Pray for those in leadership positions that they may lead you in the way of the Lord and uphold Godly values.

4. Helping widows, orphans, and foreigners.

Worldly fashion could be throwing parties and going on vacations without caring for anyone else but yourself. However, Heavenly Fashion is different in how it cares for the vulnerable in society.

Do not allow yourself to be consumed by worldly trends that care less about widows, orphans, and foreigners. Instead, align your spirit with the Heavenly fashion and God shall be pleased with your life. We are commanded that we should not forget to entertain strangers because some have unknowingly entertained Angels.

The Lord expects more from us because we have seen the light and understand the benefits of salvation. It is His will that you align your spirit with the Heavenly fashion.
