Aligning your Spirit with the Heavenly Fashion
July 25, 2024The season of the Passover coincides with that of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Both of them are significant in the life of a Christian. Passover marks the time when the Angel of the Death passed over the houses of the Israelites and spared the lives of their firstborns. However, the firstborn of the Egyptians, from the crown prince to the firstborn of livestock died on that night. The Easter season marks the events of the betrayal, crucifixion, passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to pay the debt of the original sin and reconnect our relationship with God. Both of these two events in Biblical history have one thing in common – the gift of a second chance and a new life. In one, the lives of Israelite firstborns are spared and in the other, the resurrection of Christ is a gift of eternal life to all of us. Knowing all of this will put you in the front row of experiencing the power of resurrection in the life of a Christian.
For the first time in history, many people resurrected at once during the resurrection of Jesus. The bodies of many Holy people who had died were resurrected. This was their second chance at life. This is a miracle that can also happen to you. The power of resurrection is one of the biggest miracles in the life of a Christian.
Jesus can resurrect you from physical or spiritual death. Yes, it is possible to have a second chance as the saints did during the resurrection of Jesus. Is your business on the brink of collapse, do you have health problems, or financial constraints? The power of resurrection can restore you to your glory days. If you have little strength left, it will spare you death the same way the Angel of the Lord passed over the houses of the Israelites. The Lord’s spiritual intervention will visit your life and you will be a changed person.

Testimony of resurrection.
The centurion and those with him guarding Jesus’ tomb witnessed the earthquake and resurrection of the saints and accepted that Jesus was the Son of God. There is nothing that could explain the power of the resurrection they saw.
Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome were shocked to find that the stone at the tomb was rolled away. Instead, an Angel (in the form of a young man) told them about the resurrection of Jesus. They received the testimony of His resurrection with so much Joy and went to tell the disciples about it. The soldiers and the disciples were witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus. Their lives completely changed from this point onwards. It will also happen to you once the power of resurrection fills your life.
Although the report of the guards was changed by the Jewish authorities, the experience of the resurrection of Jesus was still fresh in their minds. They could not completely cover it up. Resurrection cannot be hidden because other people will see the risen one. This is how the power of resurrection in your life cannot be hidden. Its works will be visible to everyone.
Embracing the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus appeared to the women coming from the tomb running to tell the disciples about His resurrection. They held his feet and worshipped him. He told the women to tell His brothers (the disciples) to meet Him in Galilee.
Jesus had the power to appear to them wherever they were, yet He still chose to meet them in Galilee. What significance did Galilee hold? During the ministry of Jesus, He went to Galilee and not to Judea because the Jews there were seeking to kill Him. This made Jesus do most of His ministry in Galilee. He also performed most miracles there – He walked on water, calmed the storm, made Peter and Andrew fishers of men, and John the Baptist baptized Him there. Galilee became his native place for His ministry.
We all have a Galilee place in our lives. It is the part of our lives where Jesus met us. He called us to become His disciples when we were in Galilee, as He did with the Apostles at the time. Galilee represents familiarity and peace, unlike Judea which represents hostility. Galilee is the place and time where we received salvation. Circumstances did not push us to receive salvation, but we did so willingly and in faith. This is the first step to embrace the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus wants you to return to Galilee, like the Apostles did, and He will meet you there. Go back to the place of peace where you first received Christ. It is here where you accepted Christ to become your Lord and Savior that you will see Him after His resurrection. The first time Jesus was in Galilee was when He was not yet glorified. It was before His crucifixion and resurrection. The last time that Jesus goes to Galilee is after His resurrection. He went there in a different glory from the first one.
When Jesus met the disciples at Galilee on the mountain He had told them to go to, they worshipped Him there. He gave the disciples power to preach the gospel and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. It represents a responsibility that He had given the Apostles. The disciples experienced the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ through the new mandate they received.
Similarly, you will experience the power of the resurrection of Jesus in your life when you return to the Galilee point of your life. The Lord will give you a new mandate that will give you a purpose in life. While you have the potential to become anything you wish, the Lord has appointed you to a specific mission for His glory. This is the power of resurrection in the life of a Christian.
