The gospel of Jesus Christ is the best news to reach the world. It is pure love with genuine intentions from God the Father to reconcile with man after sin entered the world through our first parents, Adam and Eve. The Bible teaches how sin entered the world through one man and death through sin. Future generations inherited this sin and they became sinners too even though they had not sinned directly themselves. It displeased God that it had become this way and He wanted to make things right by introducing salvation to enter the world through one man the same way sin entered the world in the beginning. God wanted to stop the reign of sin and start that of righteousness. If death reigned through one man, how much more will those who receive the Gospel reign in life through one man, Jesus Christ? The Gospel of Christ has much power in the physical and spiritual realms and it comes with the gift of the promise of eternal life. Embracing it is the wisest decision you would ever make in your entire lifetime.

The Gospel is the way to righteousness and the Father. The Son brought the Gospel to us. The beginning of everything is believing in the Son, Jesus Christ, sent by the Father to rescue us from sin and death. Believing in the Gospel changes your life to become as God wants it to be. You stop living however you wish and align your life with the will of God. There is a visible change in the lives of those who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their lives are a reflection of the glory of God. They carry this honor everywhere they go and other people accept the Gospel for their sake. They make Salvation desirable and attract more people to it.

The reward for receiving the Gospel.

Embracing the Gospel is not a futile decision. The disciples of Jesus once asked what they would get in return for forsaking everything to follow Jesus. These are the rewards that Jesus promised them:

• Sitting on the twelve thrones.

This is the first promise that Jesus makes to his disciples who have followed him – they will sit on the twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. The disciples are the first people who believed in the Gospel of Jesus and accepted His call to become disciples. They left their professions – fishing, and tax collecting – to follow Jesus and they never looked back.

Sitting on the twelve thrones judging the tribes of Israel is an honor that Jesus promised them for embracing the Gospel. It is symbolic of the power He will give believers to judge the nations. You are also part of those who will receive this promise. The reward for embracing the Gospel is the power to rule and judge the people of God. Continue holding the faith as you wait for its manifestation.

• A new family.

Embracing the Gospel can sometimes separate you from your family. Some are cut off from their families and considered outcasts because they chose the path of the Gospel. Jesus assured the disciples that they would receive another family in Salvation – brothers, sisters, a father, a mother, a wife, or children.

The church is the home of this new family. Do not be discouraged when your family casts you out for the sake of the Gospel. It is not the end of the road for you. God has prepared other people in the church to give you the family love you need. Join the local church fellowship and you will find a new family there that shares the Godly values you do.

• New properties.

The cost of embracing the Gospel could also cover your assets and investments. You could be forced to forfeit your inheritance and other assets because you chose to follow Christ. Sometimes you could also use your assets for church projects. Whatever happens to your assets and investments is not a loss. It is a part you played in embracing the gospel.

Jesus promises us new houses and fields here on Earth as a reward for embracing the Gospel. You can have new properties and build wealth with the blessings of God. Being born again is a source of wealth, not poverty. God will bless your riches.

• A hundred times of everything you have.

This is the promise of Jesus when you receive salvation – a hundred times of everything you own. God wants us to relax our minds because He shall provide everything for us, even more abundantly than what we had before embracing the Gospel.

God affirms that He can do exceedingly abundantly above what we ask or think according to the power that works in us. This power is the Gospel. Accepting it has a multiplier effect on your life.

• Eternal life.

This is the biggest reward for embracing the Gospel. Eternal life lasts forever. It is a perfect life where all your needs are fulfilled, and you live without pain or sorrow. You are no longer attached to worldly possessions because they are perishable. Your sole focus is on embracing the Gospel of Jesus and you live for it. Eternal life gives your life a new meaning from the day you receive the Gospel.

You can enjoy the reward of eternal life even before the death of the physical body. It starts by devoting your life to Christ and winning souls for Him.

While other things can be taken away from you, the reward for embracing the Gospel cannot be taken away. They remain with you forever, take you closer to God, and give you a badge of honor everywhere you go. The Gospel does not stop at you accepting it. Proceed to share it with other people and win souls for Christ!
